Is it just me or the iPod Touch 2.0 update was pulled?

"Apple's server's can handle about 2.5 Million people at any
given time. This morning, as soon as the update hit, 9.8 million
people rushed the server at once, causing it to catastrophically

oh, I know! Let's ship X million iPhones to almost all the
world, expecting sell outs like last time and force them all to
activate through our servers on the store head calculation,
drop a zero by mistake yeah, our servers can handle it.
they can even handle a few head calculation, drop another
zero million iPhone and iPod Touch users upgrading to the
firmware we've been advertising for...hums...4 months now
and just to add an extra thrill and because surely we'll have
some network staff waving their free hands that day... LETS LAUNCH
